Paride Iaretti is a small winemaking reality that with fidelity interprets the territory of Gattinara, a Piedmontese area of volcanic nature dominated by Monte Rosa, where the Iaretti family has been dedicated to viticulture for generations. Paride's winemaking adventure officially began in 2000, when he started his own project after inheriting a small half-hectare vineyard from his father Pietro, a traffic warden by profession and winemaker by passion. Paride then began a renovation and expansion of the plots, bolstered by the support of several partners, including Mattia and Fabrizio. In 2016, the new winery was then inaugurated, built in red brick and located between the town of Gattinara and the neighboring forest.

Paride Iaretti's estate has just over 4 hectares of vineyards, planted on acidic hillside soils made up of volcanic porphyries rich in mineral elements. The vineyards enjoy excellent exposures and are devoted almost entirely to Nebbiolo, locally called Spanna, a noble variety that has lifted the oenological fortunes of Alto Piemonte. Completing the varietal platform are the other traditional grapes Vespolina, Croatina and Uva Rara. The vines also exceed 50 years of age and are planted in prestigious plots, including Vigna Valferana, one of the most important cru in all of Gattinara. Once the berries have reached the right level of ripeness, manual harvesting in boxes is carried out, followed by vinification in stainless steel tanks with 20-30 days of maceration on the skins, associated with periodic pumping over. For the subsequent aging phase, French oak barriques and tonneaux or large Slavonian oak barrels are adopted, depending on the label under consideration, always with a well-considered use of wood.

Those of Paride Iaretti are elegant wines, characterized by a ironyminerality typical of the terroir. In particular, the winery makes four labels, three of which are Gattinara: a Riserva, the 'Vigna Valferana' and 'Pietro,' a label dedicated to Paride's father, all 100% Nebbiolo with a complex and meaty style.
