La Valle della Luna

The terroir of Trapani provides the backdrop for the vineyards of the La Valle della Luna winery, a young Sicilian reality that was founded in 2013 in Partanna, following an ambitious project. The ownership, in fact, not only shows a great love for the world of wine but also has the utmost respect for these areas and wishes, through the activities of the winery, to support the local economy, giving it new impulses. Since 2013, therefore, the entire team of the winery has worked hard, sharing the rhythms of Sicilian countryside, through successes and defeats, which have made them stronger for the future. The ownership has taken steps to acquire new vineyards, giving priority to the native grape varieties of the area, also committing to renewing the old systems and promoting the introduction of new technologies along the production chain.

The owned vineyards of La Valle della Luna now extend over 60 hectares, located between Zangara and Seggio Marzuchi, sites that are close to the municipality of Castelvetrano. These are lands that are partly sandy-clay,and partly clay-sandy, characterized by a warm and temperate climate, ideal for giving life to ripe clusters, rich in aromas.  Among the rows, space is mainly given to native grape varieties, both white and red, such as Grillo, Catarratto, Grecanico, Nero d’Avola, Nerello Mascalese, and Zibibbo; alongside these, we find an international red that has one of its natural habitats in Sicily, Syrah. Every operation is conducted with the utmost attention, both in the vineyards and in the cellar, to preserve the fruits that nature has given during the course of the year.

La Valle della Luna produces four labels, which, although they have only been on the market for a few years, are already achieving good success, thanks to their wide olfactory sensations, which combine with fragrant and fresh sips. Four bottles where, alongside the only white, Catarratto, we find Syrah, Nero d’Avola, and the Reserve “Nivuru”, a blend with a fine and fascinating aromatic profile. An exciting range, to keep an eye on also for the interesting prices, to try as soon as you feel like tasting Sicily in a glass.tasting Sicily in a glass.
