Le Vigne di Zamò

The adventure of Le Vigne di Zamò began in 1978 and immediately set the Winery apart for the uniqueness of its production, with an extremely territorial and distinctive personality. It started with the purchase of only 5 hectares of property on the hill of Rocca Bernarda, and the story of the Zamò Family has developed over the years on Friulian terroirs that are as different as they are unique. In 1990, the vineyards of Ronchi di Buttrio were added to the family lands, and a few years later, with the purchase of the parcels around the Abbey of Rosazzo, the property reached 35 hectares of vineyards. The atmosphere that can be felt among the vines is magical, perhaps due to the presence of the Abbey, which silently watches over the Zamò vines, or perhaps due to a sense of artisanal spirituality, the foundation of the Winery's philosophy.

Today, Le Vigne di Zamò spans about 42 hectares of vineyards, among the hills of Rosazzo, Buttrio, and Rocca Bernarda. These lands are distinguished by particular microclimates, characterized respectively by strong daily temperature fluctuations, daily, from extremely favorable exposures and from the influence of the sea and the freshness of the Bora. Furthermore, the woods that serve as a picturesque natural amphitheater to these landscapes guarantee a remarkable biodiversity. The cultivated grape varieties are further testimony to the Friulian variety, a historical legacy of the European civilizations that have traversed these lands. Here, both white grape varieties, with Ribolla Gialla being the queen among them, and black grape varieties like Pignolo and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso find their place.

Le Vigne di Zamò has become synonymous over the years with quality Friulian winemaking, thanks to the innovative and pioneering personality of founder Tullio Zamò and the constant synergy between territory and producer, which shows no signs of wanting to abandon this reality and has consecrated its success even beyond international borders over the years. Whether it is the mystical influence of the ancient monastery or the commitment made in the vineyard and in the cellar, it is certain that the wines of the Zamò Family are characterized by an unmistakable personality.unmistakable, which will surely leave its mark in the glass.
