Les Vignes d'Olivier takes the shape of a young Languedoc estate from the pure and nonconformist style that reflects the soul of founder Olivier Cohen. This young vigneron founded the small artisanal winery Les Vignes d'Olivier in 2013 in Argelliers, northwest of the city of Montpellier, in the Hérault area. His production approach is completely out of the box: suffice it to say that some of the Domaine's wines are made through co-fermentation of white and red grapes while others are derived from blending different vintages. Olivier's training has seen the young winemaker collect important experience with two masters of the industry such as Antoine Arena, a Corsican producer from the Patrimonio area, and Thierry Allemand, a winemaker from Cornas in the Northern Rhône. Olivier's passion for the extraordinary world of wine was born while frequenting and working for the historic wine shop La Part des Anges in his hometown of Nice, during which he developed a deep interest in artisanal wines.

The Les Vignes d'Olivier estate comprises 7 hectares of vineyards surrounded by forests and rooted on soils consisting mainly of red clay, sand and limestone. The climate is Mediterranean, and Olivier raises Cinsault, Carignan, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Merlot among the red grapes, and Ugni Blanc, Clairette, Vermentino and Chenin Blanc among the white varieties. The agronomic approach adopted by the vigneron is highly sustainable, based on the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, and harvesting is done entirely by hand. In the winery, vinifications often take place in whole cluster with semi-carbonic maceration, fermentations occur spontaneously thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts, and stainless steel tanks are adopted as wine containers. The use of clarification or filtration is strictly excluded, as are the additions of sulfites.

At the heart of the Les Vignes d'Olivier winery's production are the red wines, generally endowed with a juicy and dynamic personality that cannot leave one indifferent. However, there is no shortage of whites and rosés of irresistible expressive purity.
