Los Arango

The name Los Arango is born as a tribute to Doroteo Arango, better known as Pancho Villa, one of the greatest heroes of the Mexican Revolution. This tequila is produced in the state of Guanajuato, at the historic Hacienda Corralejo, a estate built in the 1700s located just outside Pénjamo. The distillery is immersed in a landscape characterized by fields of blue agave and the iconic Sabino tree, a symbol of the region. Outside the brick walls of the Hacienda, the most authentic Mexico comes to life with colorful markets, spicy aromas, and centuries-old traditions that contribute to giving each bottle the character of a vibrant and lively land. Framed in the national panorama, Los Arango represents a reality of excellence that stands out for its deep connection to its origins and the desire to honor history and Mexican culture, celebrating the moments of triumph in life through a unique artisanal product.

The work begins in the fields, where the blue weber agave is carefully cultivated until it reaches maturity, after a cycle that lasts from 8 to 12 years. The harvest is done exclusively by hand, an operation that ensures the utmost respect for the plant and the territory. After the harvest, the hearts of the agave are subjected to a slow cooking in adobe ovens for about 38 hours, followed by a resting period of 12 hours, a process that helps develop depth and complexity in the aromas. Fermentation uses a yeast selected internally, and distillation occurs through the Charentais method of double distillation, typical of the French tradition, which gives great finesse to the distillate. Each small batch is bottled directly at the production site, in hand-finished blown glass bottles, a testament to an artisanal craft that aims for perfection in its imperfection. This production philosophy blends ancient techniques with a contemporary approach, offering an authentic tequila that speaks of its territory.

Among the most fascinating curiosities, the choice to age the Reposado version in barrels made from three different types of oak stands out, a detail that gives unique aromatic nuances. The result is a range of distinctive products: the Los Arango Blanco, characterized by floral and citrus aromas, contrasts with the Reposado, which thanks to contact with the wood develops notes of spices, roasted agave, and elegant herbal notes. Each bottle, hand-finished, thus becomes a unique piece, an expression of the history and passion that animate this reality. Los Arango is not just tequila, but a symbol of cultural identity that unites tradition and innovation, offering those who choose it an experience that tells the authentic character of Mexico in every sip.
