Drocco Luigi

The Luigi Drocco winery embodies and faithfully represents the characteristics of family-run production realities, maintaining high quality even for wines that can be defined as everyday, suitable for any day. The incredible quality-price ratio makes Luigi Drocco's Langhe wine interpretations easily accessible as well as simple and satisfying to read, simultaneously characterizing them with an important common thread: the delightfully drinkable. The Cascina Pontepietra, so named by the family, is located at the base of the Diano d'Alba hill, well exposed to the east and situated right on the border with the municipality of Alba.

The Cascina Pontepietra has been managed for over 30 years by the winemaker Luigi Drocco himself, who, alongside his wife Silvana and his sons Francesco and Roberto, is passionately and dedicatedly committed to cultivating his vineyards to express excellent versions of Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto for the reds, Arneis and Favorita for the whites. Luigi's vineyards are cultivated according to the principles dictated by the project “The Green Experience”, a network created by Coldiretti Cuneo, consisting of about 1200 Piedmontese producer realities committed to implementing a ecological, rethought, and sustainable viticulture aimed at maintaining biodiversity and respecting the soil, without the use of chemical weeding in favor of the proliferation of seeds and herbaceous essences in the vineyard.

Luigi Drocco's owned vineyards extend over an area of 15 hectares that give rise to the indigenous grapes of Langa, which are then processed inside the winery that combines the canons of tradition with the most modern technologies, making all phases of winemaking reliable and controlled. The Drocco winery is also well available for visits from enthusiasts to convey the passion that has been burning for years at the base of satisfying interpretations of Langa, offering hospitality in their territorially fascinating dimension.
