Marabino

The Marabino winery is a young and dynamic reality in the Val di Noto, in the heart of the Eloro and Noto denominations, born in 2002 from the passion of some entrepreneurs from Syracuse. The winery's vocation is directed towards the production of indigenous wines of the territory: a strip of land with a very high winemaking vocation in the extreme south of Sicily.

In the area called 'Buonivini', the modern winery overlooks 30 hectares of property, characterized by a rich variety of soils: white limestone, Mediterranean red, and black clay. The vineyards are subject to different exposures and a hot and arid climate, with summer temperatures exceeding 30°C, causing high sugar concentrations in the grapes, alongside phenomena of withering. The oldest vineyards, over 40 years old, are trained as bush vines, while the new plantings are on trellises.

The production philosophy of the Marabino winery is based on two essential cornerstones: a preference for indigenous grape varieties and maximum respect for the territory. For this reason, biodynamic management of the vineyards has been adopted and, in the winery, interventions are kept to a minimum. This is how typical and genuine wines are born, great expressions of a wonderful and sun-drenched land.
