Maso Bergamini

Maso Bergamini is a Trentino winery founded in the early 1980s, when Remo Tomasi decided to recover and restore the vineyards of an ancient Maso from the 1600s, to create a productive reality linked to the traditions of the territory. The estate is located on the first hilly slopes northeast of the city of Trento and extends over approximately 5 hectares, with vineyards cultivated at an altitude of about 500-600 meters above sea level, on soils of ancient volcanic origin. Although it is quite close to Trento, the area is characterized by an environment that is still unspoiled, allowing for the production of healthy and genuine wines, faithful to the oldest traditions of the territory.

The Maso Bergamini estate is located in an area characterized by a climate very suitable for viticulture. The beautiful sunny and well-ventilated exposures are ideal for bringing healthy and aromatic grapes to maturity. The poor and stony soils limit production and promote the natural balance of the plants. One of the characteristics of Maso Bergamini is the particular attention reserved for the quality of the grapes. Since 1999, the entire estate has been cultivated following the principles of organic farming, with the utmost respect for the natural environment. Only copper and sulfur are used between the rows, without resorting to chemical substances or herbicides. All this allows for the harvest of high-quality bunches, which then leads to the production of excellent wines.

In the choice of grape varieties, Maso Bergamini has favored the grapes historically present in the territory: Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewürztraminer for whites, Pinot Noir, Teroldego, Lagrein for reds, and Moscato Rosa to produce a delicate and fragrant dessert wine. Also regarding the work in the cellar, Maso Bergamini follows a production philosophy of minimal intervention, in order to keep the raw material intact and enhance its varietal aspects. The attention given to the entire production process, from the vineyard to the bottle, allows for the market to offer labels of great territorial authenticity, which present a fresh and mineral profile, typical of mountain wines.
