Massimago

Massimago is a young winery in Valpolicella run by women: traditionally linked to the Cracco family since 1883, this brilliant wine reality is now led by Camilla Rossi Chauvenet, who has been able to renew and relaunch it with strong determination. The elegant and refined interpretations of Valpolicella wines offered by Massimago arise from the awareness of the enormous potential of the Mezzane valley, nestled like a jewel in the heart of eastern Valpolicella.

The name Massimago comes from the Latin "maximum agium", which means "maximum benefit": an expression that fully embodies the terroir of Mezzane di Sotto, where the ancient noble residence that serves as the winery is surrounded by a splendid vineyard park. The vineyards of the Massimago winery extend over 12 hectares on land rich in clays, marls, and limestone that allows the Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes to express themselves at their best, giving rise to wines characterized by great elegance and tension.

The wines of Massimago best enhance the finest characteristics of Valpolicella. These are modern and impeccable interpretations of Valpolicella and Amarone, to which new and interesting innovations are added, such as the sparkling rosé "Magò" based on Corvina: a true unique piece destined to set a standard. Starting from the light, fresh, and clean Valpolicella Classico, to a rich, tense, and supported Amarone, the range of wines offered by Massimago is the result of the best production tradition of the territory, combined with an inimitable artistic sensitivity with a feminine touch, that of Camilla Rossi Chauvenet.
