Opera

The Opera Winery, in Val di Cembra, is a young winery, founded in 2006 in Giovo, in the province of Trento, out of the desire of a small group of friends, lovers of the good wine produced in the valley, to enhance that terroir particularly suitable for the cultivation of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

The owners of the winery, Alfio Garzetti, Bruno Zanoletti, and Marcello Rosa in 2006, after several years dedicated to study and design, renovated and recovered the Cantina Napoleone Rossi, the oldest in Val di Cembra, which dates back to the early 19th century, closed for several years. The new winery is equipped with the most modern winemaking equipment and is built in full respect of the nature of the valley. The name Opera, given to the winery, comes from Latin and means work, because, the owners believe, only through work can something good and positive be achieved.

In the Val di Cembra, there are about 400 km of dry stone walls, which allow for the planting of about 600 hectares of vineyards, located along the steep slopes of the hills descending towards the Avisio river. The vineyards of Opera are located on the right side of the river, exposed to the South and East, and here the vines enjoy optimal climatic and pedological conditions, and a temperature range, especially in autumn, that allows for perfect ripening of the grapes.

The sparkling wines produced by the Opera Winery, with a delicate yet intense aroma and a fruity, full, and enveloping taste, have quickly gained wide acclaim from both the public and critics.
