Oxenreiter

The winery has a cellar Oxenreiter all a family business, run by Anton Oxenreiter, his wife Sigrid and daughters Silke and Heidi. The winery is located in Salorno, a small village in Trentino Alto Adige 3,500 souls. The company, however, and its vineyards, about 7 hectares, are situated in places few at a height of 500-550 meters above sea level, in an area called Steinhauserhof; the land is mainly clayey nature, particularly suitable for the production of all grapes typical of the area: Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay and Muller Thurgau. The vineyards are located at high altitudes, with sometimes very steep terrain, are a challenge that Anton can overcome with perseverance and effort, but this is compensated by the excellent quality of the grapes. The philosophy that inspires all the activities of the family, which essentially takes care of everything, from the vineyard to the cellar, is very simple and can be summed up in one word: perfection. Anton Oxenreiter has the belief that the choice of the land is essential to get good grapes and thus wines of great excellence; grapes in the vineyard just right: this is the belief of the family. Only by following this rule you can achieve extraordinary wines. In fact, the exposure of the vineyards is optimal and ensures the screws a warm climate and airy by day, cool and dry at night, allowing the perfect ripening of the grapes of different varieties. The expertise combined with a great passion for their work means that the family Oxenreiter produces wines of great elegance, strength and character.
