Parpinello

The history of the Parpinello family is rooted in the heart of Sardinia, where grandfather Luigi, originally from Veneto, passed on his passion for the vineyard to his son Giampaolo, who moved to Sardinia in the 1960s to become a winemaker. With a career that led him to collaborate with the best Sardinian wineries, Giampaolo instilled in his children, Laura, Giusi, Luigi, and Paolo, a love for viticulture. In 1990, Giampaolo purchased the first hectares of vineyard near Lake Baratz, giving life to Podere San Costantino. In the following years, the family expanded with the Janna de Mare project, planting 20 hectares of vineyards between Alghero and Sassari. The third generation of the family continued the dream, founding Poderi Parpinello in 2009, a winery that represents the evolution of a tradition of passion and dedication to the land.

Poderi Parpinello stands out for its modern approach to viticulture while maintaining a deep connection to local traditions. The company spans 35 hectares of vineyards distributed across three strategic locations: 7 hectares in Castelsardo, 15 near Lake Baratz, and 13 in the Janna de Mare area. The lands, characterized by a great geographical diversity, offer ideal conditions for cultivating a variety of grape varieties, both indigenous and international. Among the local grape varieties are Cannonau, Vermentino, Monica, Cagnulari, and Torbato, while the international varieties include Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The company has always believed in innovation, using modern technologies in the winery to ensure the highest quality of its wines while respecting the traditional practices of Sardinian viticulture.

The style of Parpinello wines is a perfect balance between tradition and innovation, and this is reflected in the characteristics of their products. Each bottle tells the story of the Sardinian territory through a flavor that combines the freshness and salinity typical of the coastal soils and the structure typical of the indigenous grape varieties. The wines, characterized by a great minerality, are the result of a work of research and passion that has evolved over sixty years. The approach in the winery aims to preserve the authenticity and typicality of the grapes, allowing each wine to express its deep connection with the land and the sea that surrounds it. The choice of local and international grape varieties allows the company to present a versatile and quality range of wines, capable of satisfying even the most demanding palates.
