Domaine Philippe Charlopin-Parizot is located in Gevrey-Chambertin, in one of the most famous villages of the Côte de Nuits. The estate was founded in the late 1970s and has been able to preserve a family dimension and an artisanal structure, which allow it to offer enthusiasts a range of fine labels. The domaine began owning just a few hectares and, thanks to the commercial success of the wines, has gradually expanded with the purchase of numerous plots in valuable locations, carefully selecting the best terroirs of the Côte d'Or. The wines are prized precisely for their authenticity and ability to interpret the different nuances of the terroir with parcellaric vinifications that bring out the best qualities of the different crus.
Today the domaine covers a total of about 25 hectares, divided into many parcels located in prestigious areas of the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune et Chablis. The extraordinary quality of the vineyard heritage allows Philippe Charlopin-Parizot to make wines that reflect very well the excellence of Burgundy, through bottles dedicated to the Grand Crus of: Corton Charlemagne, Chambertin, Charmes Chambertin, Mazis-Chambertin, Clos Vougeot, Clos St. Denis, Bonnes Mares, Echezeaux; to the Premier Crus of Gevrey Chambertin Bel Air, Pernand Vergelesse sous Frétille as well as many wines from the most famous Village Appellations. The estate also owns some properties in the Chablis area, particularly in the Premier Cu of: Fourchaume, Beauroy and Côte de Léchet.
The domaine's wines are an expression of the two classic Burgundy grape varieties: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, which for centuries have found an ideal habitat to create labels of absolute excellence. Burgundy's prized soils, sunny exposures, and cool climate, always well ventilated and characterized by good temperature ranges, allow slow and excellent ripening of the grapes with intense and elegant profiles. Harvesting, with selection of the best bunches in the vineyard, allows healthy and very ripe grapes to be brought to the winery. Vinification is carried out according to the traditions of the region, always seeking to enhance the extraordinary aromatic richness of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Traditional oak barrels, carefully selected from the best French cooperage, are used for aging.
