Piemme

The Piemme production company specializes in crafting exquisite liqueurs and sweet specialties using high-quality raw materials, aiming to modernize traditional recipes from Campania. Established in 1969 by a group of artisans from Sorrento dedicated to producing traditional limoncello and lemon-based sweets, Piemme has grown to become one of the leading names in the industry. The foundation of its success lies in a skilled production approach that combines cutting-edge technology with the artisanal tradition of the Sorrento Peninsula. Historically, it was customary in the region to produce liqueurs from lemons grown in the sunny, Mediterranean climate, with recipes passed down through generations to the present day. Since 1986, Piemme has embraced this rich heritage, becoming the undisputed leader in limoncello production, a liqueur aptly nicknamed "The Gold of Sorrento."

In addition to lemons, the pride of the Sorrento Peninsula, Piemme also uses other high-quality ingredients in its liqueurs, such as fennel, mandarins, oranges, licorice, and walnuts. Piemme directly oversees all stages of the production chain, from fruit cultivation to hand-harvesting and peeling, with the peels then infused in a solution of alcohol and sugar for 4-7 days, leading up to the final bottling. The entire process takes place in the internal laboratory under the careful supervision of the Quality Control Manager.

Although its catalog features a wide selection of liqueurs, bitters, and gin, as well as various sweet specialties like babà, limoncello is the flagship product of Piemme. It is available in two versions: the classic Limoncello di Sorrento and the organic Limoncello di Sorrento Bio, made with ingredients from organic farming. These liqueurs offer irresistible aromas, highlighting the extraordinary qualities of Sorrento lemons.
