Piero
Piero Gin is an artisanal distillate produced in Bedizzole, in the province of Brescia. It is the original creation of Gianpiero Giuliano, the founder and owner of the company, who before dedicating himself to Gin had a profession that took him traveling continuously around the world. His interest in the ancient distillate from Northern Europe was born by chance during one of his countless work trips. In 2008, while he was in Madrid for work, one evening Gianpiero entered a bar and was fascinated by the bartender's skill. It was on that occasion that he tasted the first Premium Gin Tonic prepared to perfection with top-quality ingredients. From that moment on, Gin entered his life, and during every trip, he couldn't help but taste new interpretations in various countries around the world, with the curiosity that distinguishes all enthusiasts.
The discovery of the world of Gin was not limited to tasting. A true interest in the distillate was born, which culminated in 2018 in an international MBA with a thesis specifically on the creation of a new Gin. The dream of creating his own Gin has moved from theory to practice, thus giving birth to the label Piero Dry Gin. Soon, appreciations and important recognitions arrived, such as the prestigious second place at the 2020 International Wine and Spirit Competition in London, awarded by a commission of world experts representing 30 countries, who described the Piero Dry Gin as: “a completed distillate, with a good balance, a strong character, and good complexity. A classic example of its style or variety.”
In fact, the Gin was conceived by Gianpiero Giuliano to express the great classical tradition, based on balance, harmony, and softness. The project was born from a long phase of experimentation, during which about thirty different botanicals were tested before arriving at the final recipe and especially the right dosage among the various ingredients. In the end, the choice fell on 6 botanicals. The aromatic base is made up of juniper berries, which give the characteristic and intense note of balsamic freshness. Added to this are cardamom, orange peel, marjoram, ginger, and a secret ingredient that adds a floral touch to the aromatic palette. The botanicals are processed in hydroalcoholic infusion at about 60 degrees for about two days, then slow distillation takes place, carefully preserving only the heart. The processing concludes with the final assembly and the reduction of proof with pure water. The Gin is then filtered and bottled.
