Remy Martin
Rémy Martin is one of the oldest and most prestigious cognac producers. It was founded in 1724 in the town of Cognac by a young winemaker from Charente, who gave it his name; a name that has become one of the most renowned in the world of distillation over three centuries, thanks to its successors. The centaur symbol that has appeared since 1870 on every bottle of Remy Martin cognac is now a symbol of elegance, excellence, and luxury.
To ensure maximum quality for its cognacs, since 1948, the entire production of Rémy Martin comes exclusively from the prestigious crus of Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne, territories that owe their excellence to the soils rich in gypsum and limestone. From the union of the two crus, the prestigious Fine Champagne cognacs are obtained, a denomination brought to prominence by this maison. The quality, finesse, and balance of these distillates are also due to the great skill of the master distillers and cellar masters who have succeeded one another in the
last decades, among the best in their craft, all born and raised in Charente. Unlike other cognac producers, Rémy Martin is indeed proud to declare that the distillery was founded and has always been managed only by important personalities from the Cognac region. From 1724 to today, Rémy Martin has developed an extraordinary savoir-faire that consists of selecting the best grapes, those that are aromatically richer, in winemaking and distillation with cutting-edge technologies. The wines are distilled in small discontinuous copper pot stills twice with great patience: each distillation process takes 24 hours. From 12 kg of grapes, only one liter of brandy is obtained, which is then aged in traditional oak barrels for years or even decades. Thus are born soft, round, and elegant distillates, to be counted among the best and most prestigious Cognacs.
