Family Selection - Balan
The Family Selection is the prestigious selection of rum inaugurated by Balan, an Italian selector and distributor of quality wines and spirits from around the world. The pursuit of excellence, territoriality, and prestige is a constant in this selection.
The Family Selection project was initiated by brothers Daniele and Fabio Balan and is carried on by Francesco Saverio Binetti, a world-renowned rum taster and selector. After decades of tasting experience and with significant experiences behind him, Francesco Saverio Binetti has selected for Balan some of the most important and prestigious rums in the world, following the criterion of value/product ratio.
The rums of the Family Selection represent some of the brightest expressions of the two types: English-style rum and Spanish-style rum. We are talking about rums produced in the Caribbean, particularly in Trinidad, Jamaica, Panama, British Guiana, and Belize. The aging periods in oak barrels can vary from 9 to 18 years. In any case, we are talking about some of the greatest and most complex rums in the world: spirits of great quality and value.
