San Cristoforo

The sparkling wine house San Cristoforo is dedicated to the production of refined bubbles in the renowned area of Franciacorta, a territory where in 1992 Claudia and Bruno started their winemaking project driven by their love for the land, agriculture, and wine, with a strong desire to turn this passion into a profession. In 1996, the underground winery was built, located in the municipality of Erbusco, and in the same year the first bottles of Franciacorta were launched on the market, which quickly achieved great success. Today Bruno and Claudia are assisted by their young daughter Celeste, who has brought her innovative spirit.

The vineyards of the San Cristoforo winery extend over 10 hectares, located within the municipality of Erbusco, in the heart of Franciacorta. These are dedicated to Chardonnay and Pinot Nero, grape varieties that have become a classic of Metodo Classico sparkling wines due to their noble and elegant character. The plants benefit from morainic soils characterized by a high presence of clay and limestone and, when the grapes have reached the stageideal for ripening, manual harvesting is carried out. The enology adopted aims at the pursuit of the highest achievable quality while excluding any forcing practices, always seeking to best interpret the vintage. For fermentations, temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks are used, in order to preserve the freshness and primary aromas of the wine, with the subsequent sparkling process occurring in the bottle according to the Metodo Classico. The aging on the lees in glass ranges from 24 to 72 months and the dosages are mostly kept low, in order to enhance the truest quality of the territory.

The Franciacorta San Cristoforo are sparkling wines of excellent quality and pleasantness, rich in fragrant sensations, whether they are cuvées, vintage wines, or rosés. The winery's style is focused on the search for a vibrant freshness and minerality, as well as attributes such as complexity and aromatic cleanliness, in order to offer Franciacorta worthy of the name.
