Seresin Estate is a New Zealand winery located in the Marlborough region, situated in the northeast area of the South Island of New Zealand. Michael Seresin began his working career at the New Zealand company Pacific Film and then continued his career as a freelance cameraman in Europe, particularly in Rome and London. During the 1970s, he worked as a director of photography on many commercial productions and in some films by Harold Becker, Adian Lyne, and Alan Parker, and later participated in the making of Gravity and Planet of the Apes. In the 1990s, he began to contemplate the project of a new life as a producer of sustainable and as natural wines as possible, without any compromise, with the sole aim of achieving the highest quality possible. Thus, the idea of founding Seresin Estate was born.

Compared to the 1970s, the vineyard area has increased significantly, and today viticulture represents an important resource for the local economy, as well as a distinctive feature of the landscape. The area is very sunny and always breezy due to the constant presence of sea breezes. The climate is also characterized by significant temperature variations, which allow the grapes to fix their aromas and maintain freshness. The late summer and early autumn months are mild, perfect for completing ripening with healthy bunches. These particular conditions and the suitable soils have made Marlborough one of the most prestigious areas in New Zealand for the cultivation of the most famous international grape varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, and Syrah.

The philosophy of the Seresin Estate winery has a dual soul. On one hand, it is strongly tied to the territory and the characteristics of the Marlborough area, while on the other, it has always paid attention to the centuries-old experience of the Old World in the field of producing great wines.
