Starlino

Starlino is a brand of Vermouth and liqueurs inspired by the Turin tradition. It is no coincidence that the company chose the name of the Hotel Starlino to symbolize the strong historical bond with the capital of Piemonte, which in 1786 saw the birth of Vermouth. Its retro labels, Starlino Vermouth, Starlino Aperitivo Rosé, Starlino Aperitivo Arancione, are indeed a tribute to the city, to its vintage atmospheres and to a world linked to the custom of the aperitif as a true social ritual.  In reality, behind this typically Italian brand is an English company that has long operated in the premium spirits and liqueurs sector and has seen in the renewed interest in Vermouth a commercial opportunity to seize.

To concretely bring the project to life, the company sought the support of a local reality that could guarantee a high-quality standard and a deep knowledge of the products. Thus was born the collaboration with Torino Distillati, a reference company in the world of Piemonte Spirits.  The origins of the company are ancient, it once belonged to the Fratelli Ferrero di Riccardo, who then sold it during the 1960s to the Canadian group Seagram, one of the most important players in the production and marketing of alcoholic beverages worldwide. Carlo Vergnano, director of Seagram Italia, then decided to acquire the historic plant in Moncalieri to create his own business. In 1992, Torino Distillati was born, with the aim of carrying on the ancient Piemonte tradition and offering a range of high-quality labels.

The new Starlino brand could not find a better partner to support its innovative project, relying on the experience of a large local company. The Starlino labels were created by Denis Muni and Beppe Ronco, who had worked at Torino Distillati for over twenty years and had a deep knowledge and extensive experience in the Vermouth and Aperitivo sector. They leveraged their knowledge to create something innovative and original. The Vermouth, for example, is created with a particular selection of botanicals and is especially aged for at least a month in oak barrels previously used for aging Bourbon, which give a special, spicy, and smooth touch to its aroma.
