Sul

The Sul Gin is an artisanal distillate produced by Altona Spirit Manifature in Hamburg. It is an original Gin, particularly appreciated by enthusiasts for its purity and elegance of taste and for its aromatic composition, inspired by the scents of the spontaneous herbs of the southwest coast of Portugal. It is a true homage to a land rich in history and characterized by a still wild and unspoiled nature, overlooking the vastness of the horizon of the Atlantic Ocean. Its production, still in small batches, ensures particular care, resulting in a unique and inimitable taste, fresh and pleasantly citrusy.

The charm of Gin Sur lies in an accurate selection of botanicals of excellent quality, gathered along the Portuguese coast, from Sétubal down to the legendary tip of Cape São Vicente, and then continuing towards Sagres and the Algarve region. Among the herbs and spices used are: juniper berries, coriander, rosemary, rockrose, lavender, rose petals, cinnamon, and lemons of the Algarve, famous for their large size and very thick skin, rich in aromas and fragrant essential oils. Distillation takes place with a small 100-liter copper still, which allows for artisanal batch processing, attended to in every detail with great passion, in order to achieve a final result of absolute quality. The alcohol content is lowered using pure water from sources in the unspoiled area of Lüneburg, south of Hamburg.

A perfect synthesis between the tradition of great Gins from Northern Europe and the intense aromas of the Portuguese coast, Sur is the meeting point between two worlds, a fusion of ancient German artisanal craftsmanship and knowledge of the best botanicals from Southern Europe. The brand's attention to small details is also evident in the choice of a very particular bottle, created in terracotta and glazed white according to ancient processes, reminiscent of the craftsmanship of past centuries, before the use of glass became established. This choice, besides having a typically old-style character,
