Tenute Bosco

Tenute Bosco is located in one of the vibrant centers of the booming viticulture of Sicily: the municipality of Solicchiata, on the northern slope of the Etna foothills. This young production reality, founded in 2010 by Sofia Bosco together with her husband, includes two vineyard plots, in the areas of Piano dei Daini in Solicchiata and Santo Spirito in Passopisciaro, for a total of 10 hectares. A technological winery has been built to allow and facilitate a modern and sustainable production approach, with the consultancy of the important oenologist Carlo Ferrini.

The mission of Tenute Bosco is to enhance the character of the indigenous grape varieties and the territory of Etna, expressing it clearly and vividly. The varieties of Nerello Mascalese and Cappuccio are predominantly cultivated as bush vines, with roots well anchored in the mineral-rich volcanic sand. The Vigne Vico in the Passopisciaro area dates back to the late 1800s and is own-rooted; from this precious 120-year-old pre-phylloxera vineyard, the flagship wine of thewinery. All the vineyards are located at about 700 meters above sea level and are cultivated according to the principles of organic farming, with great attention to environmental sustainability as an act of respect and devotion towards the "mountain", as the volcano has always been called by the local inhabitants. The design architecture of the winery evokes the spirit of this modern and technological production reality, equipped with efficient and very advanced systems.

The wines of Tenute Bosco are modern and impeccable interpretations of the Sicilian volcanic territory, characterized by character, personality, and good aging potential. Finesse, freshness, and tannic vivacity characterize these labels with a sure stylistic imprint. They express the vision of a modern Sicily, technological, ambitious, and cutting-edge, strong in the traditions of the past and projected into the future, conquering international markets.
