Volcàn De Mi Tierra
Volcán de mi Tierra is the expression of a partnership between the Mexican Gallardo family and the world leader in luxury and high-end 'beverage', namely Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy. The brand was launched for the first time in 2017 and the spirits are created based on personal recipes within the owned distillery, using only artisanal systems and manual labor, with the aid of advanced technologies that allow for precise control and an extremely high-quality result: Volcán can boast membership in the small group of companies that produce in a single dedicated laboratory. Today it is possible to find thousands of different brands on the market, but the existing distilleries are only about 134: it is therefore easy to understand how each company can produce numerous brands. Only 16% of these, however, comply with the standards imposed by the Consejo Regulador del Tequila, the tequila control authority, and can label their unique and exclusive NOM: the number that matches the labels produced to the distillery and that for Volcán is 1523.
Volcán de mi Tierra takes its name from the landscape surrounding the distillery, in the territory of the Mexican state of Jalisco, a few kilometers west of the capital Guadalajara: 200,000 years ago the eruption of the Volcán de Tequila shaped the topography and significantly influenced the development of the area, creating a fertile soil of volcanic nature, with precious and rich presences of minerals such as iron and basalt. On these lands spread at significant altitudes, ranging from 1,600 to over 2,000 meters above sea level, the Agave Blu finds its ideal home, cultivated without forcing during the 8 years necessary for its complete maturation. It will be the assembly of plants from the lowlands and those harvested from the highlands that will give a particularly aromatic spirit in distillation.
Volcán de mi Tierra processes the harvest in different ways depending on the area of origin of the agaves and the spirit that is intended to be obtained.
