In the Palatinate wine region, Pfalz in German, Weingut Reinhardt pursues the goal of discovering the truest character of the terroir and its grape of choice: Riesling. At the helm of the winery is the Reinhardt family, represented today by the young Lukas Reinhardt, who, after graduating in viticulture and oenology, took over the technical reins of the family estate, bringing his talent and innovative spirit, as well as his genuine agronomic and oenological approach. His sister Anna, on the other hand, is responsible for sales and communication, acting as a fundamental bridge between the winery and the people. The Reinhardts' winemaking history, however, begins further back, exactly in 1952, when Leander Reinhardt, grandfather of Lukas and Anna, purchased the first vineyards. For the first marketed bottles, however, it was not until 1987, when Stefan joined his father Leander and the real history of the Weingut began.

Within the 17 hectares of its own vineyards, embracing the principles of certified organic farming, Weingut Reinhardt mainly grows Rhine Riesling, a variety that has written German wine history, alongside smaller percentages of other varieties such as Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The vineyards are distributed between the areas of Ruppertsberg, Deidesheim, Niederkirchen, Forst and Wachenheim, characterised by the presence of red sandstone, clay and calcareous marl, which varies depending on the area. Harvesting is carried out entirely by hand and fermentation in the cellar takes place in stainless steel tanks using only indigenous yeasts. The subsequent ageing phase also takes place in steel, with the exception of a few wines that age instead in oak barrels.

Qualities that most characterise the wines of Weingut Reinhardt are their expressive richness and sunny character, attributes typical of Pfalz wines, which are considered by many to be akin to those of Alsace, an area that not surprisingly is relatively close.
