Wilson & Morgan is the line of bottlings acquired and managed since 1992 by Fabio Rossi, a representative of the third generation of an important Italian company specializing in the import and distribution of wines and spirits, based in Treviso. The history of this brand stems from Fabio's passion for Scotch and his dissatisfaction with the whiskies imported by his father and distributed under the brand 'King of Whiskies'. Thus, in the early '90s, Fabio went to Scotland and selected prestigious casks of Single Malt to bring to Italy, after having them aged for years at the place of production. Starting from 1999, ahead of its time, he inaugurated finishing in casks different from the original ones, leveraging his experience as a winemaker and selecting casks of Port or, with the help of the late Marco De Bartoli, of Marsala. The choice of “finishing” in different types of casks has proven successful, enriching the spirits with nuances without compromising their original quality, setting a standard in the world.
Today Wilson & Morgan is a brand known by enthusiasts of whisky, also thanks to the important awards won with various bottlings, including the famous House Malt. Only the best Single Malts tasted by Fabio and a team of tasters are selected to be bottled, with possible final aging in different types of casks. The labels bear the Wilson & Morgan brand, without indicating the distillery of origin, and target an international audience that loves to drink quality Whisky. The most experienced will be able to recognize its origin through taste while everyone can appreciate the excellence of Scotland selected by one of the most authoritative whisky selectors and tasters in Italy.
