"Znestra" is a sparkling wine from Emilia based on Malvasia di Candia grapes that conquers for its irresistible smoothness and delicious drink. It is obtained by spontaneous refermentation in the bottle, when in spring, with rising temperatures, indigenous yeasts process the last remaining sugars. The result is a tasty, cheerful and invigorating foam, with yeasty, slightly citrus and floral hints. Artisanal Wine, made with old style methods

“Znestra” from the Emilia winery Crocizia is a sparkling wine produced in an artisanal way, according to the oldest traditions of the territory. The lively whites have always been the protagonists of Emilia's tables and are highly appreciated for their immediate drinkability, for their lively and exuberant fragrance. It is produced with one of the most widespread white grape varieties in Emilia: Malvasia di Candia. This grape, of ancient Greek origin, is found in all the countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea and gives wines of great aromatic richness. Its seductive and soft aromas, its fresh and saline character, preserve the authentic and genuine flavor of the past.

“Znestra” is the wine that represents the memory and history of a territory, its most genuine and true customs. The Emilia winery Crocizia is located near Parma, in the Pre-Apennine hilly area. The vineyards are cultivated at about 500 meters above sea level on sunny and ventilated slopes, ideal for quality viticulture. Of the five total hectares of the property, three are destined for the vineyard, managed according to the principles of organic farming. The cultivated grape varieties are those historically present in the region, among which Malvasia di Candia plays a prominent role, always appreciated for its fruity aromatic richness, its soft and harmonious profile. The sparkling version is the one that has always been the most widespread in these lands and the most appreciated for its lively verve. It is a wine particularly suitable for tasting at aperitif time or to accompany a platter of flavorful local cured meats.

The wine “Znestra” Crocizia is a pure version of Malvasia di Candia of great typicity. It is made with a selection of grapes grown on the Colli Emiliani, at an altitude of about 500 meters above sea level, on soils characterized by the presence of medium-textured marls. Spontaneous fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, using only indigenous yeasts and with a maceration period on the skins of a couple of days. The refermentation occurs in the bottle according to the Ancestral Method. In the glass presents a rather intense yellow color with golden reflections and a thin, light foam. The bouquet offers intense floral notes, aromas of citrus, yellow fruit, and hints of bread crust. The sip is pleasantly refreshing, salty, and tense, with a juicy and crunchy fruit. The finish is dry and of remarkable freshness.
