The famous Amarone by Allegrini is a robust and important wine, aged for 18 months in new barriques. It comes from vines over 30 years old, from grapes in natural over-ripening. On the nose, it offers notes of mature red fruit and in spirit, with spicy tones, while the taste is full, soft, and enveloping. A great Amarone Magnum, a reference for the entire denomination

The Amarone Classico from Valpolicella by Allegrini is one of the most beloved Italian wines in the world, which in its Magnum format manages to reach extremely high quality levels. Amarone, in general, is produced with the grapes from the territory, vinified after a period of drying. It offers soft and enveloping aromas, of great complexity and depth. The origins of viticulture in Valpolicella date back to Roman times, as does the ancient technique of drying, which has spread also thanks to the natural predisposition of Corvina, a thick-skinned grape, to undergo this type of practice. Initially, only sweet wine from dried grapes was produced, the famous Recioto of Valpolicella, then when a barrel of Recioto was forgotten in the cellar and continued fermentation consuming all the sugars, Amarone was born by chance. Today it has become the symbolic wine of the territory, appreciated especially in foreign markets. The Allegrini Family represents a piece of Valpolicella's history, where for centuries they have cultivated grapes and produced wines. It is one of the most famous names in the enological landscape of our peninsula, and its labels have been a guarantee of excellence for years.

The Amarone Classico Magnum by Allegrini is the result of a long research journey aimed at creating a complex and rich wine, but which also preserves the fruity aromas of the starting grape, maintaining the original fragrance of the fruit intact. During the manual harvest, the healthiest and ripest bunches of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Oseleta grapes are selected, which are then dried in opposite fruit drying rooms until December. During this period, the grapes dehydrate, losing about 40% of their weight and concentrating sugars and aromas. In the first weeks of January, the grapes are pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 8-22 °C, with a maceration duration on the skins of about 25 days, accompanied by frequent pump-overs. The wine then matures in new barriques for 18 months, for another 7 months after blending and completes the aging period with at least 14 months in bottle, which in this case is in Magnum format to best appreciate all its nuances.

The Amarone Magnum wine is the result of the experience of the Allegrini family, who produce this great excellence of Valpolicella in respect of tradition and the necessary time for its full and complete maturation. It is a red of great structure, destined for long aging, with interesting evolutionary prospects on the aromatic level. In the glass, it presents itself with an intense red color with garnet reflections. The olfactory profile seduces with the softness and breadth of the aromas, reminiscent of small berries, spices, and noble woods. On the palate, it is warm and enveloping, with a rich and complex body, fine tannic texture, and balanced freshness. The traditional pairings with local cuisine suggest it should be served alongside braised dishes, stews, or game in sauce. A Magnum format for great occasions!
