The Amarone Reserve "Capitel Monte Olmi" by Tedeschi is a red wine of great structure, aged in barrel for at least 3 years. The intense and varied bouquet ranges from small red fruits to soft and complex hints of wood and vanilla. The sip is enveloping, elegant, and very long

The Amarone Classico Riserva ‘Capitel Monte Olmi’ from the renowned Veneto producer Tedeschi is a prestigious label that can masterfully combine elegance and power. ‘Monte Olmi’ is the name of the vineyard from which the grapes come, located in Pedemonte di Valpolicella, in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica. The rows are arranged on terraces that make cultivation operations more manageable given the steep slope of the land, a territorial characteristic that contributes to the exceptional viticultural vocation of the parcel. In the 1960s, Renzo Tedeschi realized the greater aptitude of this plot, deciding to vinify the grapes separately and thus giving rise to one of the first crus in all of Valpolicella.

Tedeschi Amarone Classico Riserva ‘Capitel Monte Olmi’ consists of an equivalent blend of Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, and Rondinella, to which 10% of Oseleta, Negrara, Dindarella, Croatina, and Forselina is added. The vines, with an average age of about 20 years, rest on soils of morainic origin made up of predominantly of red clay and limestone. Following the manual harvest and careful selection, the bunches are placed to dry in a fruit drying room for 4 months in a controlled environment, after which soft pressing and alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature take place, accompanied by 40-60 days of contact between the must and the pomace. The subsequent aging of 4 years takes place in large Slavonian oak barrels and is followed by at least 6 months of further resting in the bottle.

The 'Capitel Monte Olmi' Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva has an intense and consistent ruby red color. The nose unfolds with vivid perceptions of cherry, raspberry, red currant, rose, and wilted flowers, enriched by complex and refined balsamic and spicy notes. Elegant, warm, and robust on the palate, where the imposing structure is well balanced by the fresh-salty verve and soft tannins.
