The Amarone della Valpolicella 'Marne 180' by Fratelli Tedeschi is a red wine of great tradition and passion: that of the family that owns the winery, committed for four centuries to the pursuit of quality and perfection. A wine that reflects style, structure, and balance.
The grapes Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Rossignola have an average age of 20 years and are rooted in the hills of Valpolicella, on a soil characterized by red clay and limestone, with the presence of skeleton. Before vinification, after a harvest with rigorous selection of perfectly ripe bunches, the traditional process of dried grapes takes place, lasting about 4 months. A period of silence during which the berries become increasingly concentrated, with the progressive reduction of water content and further concentrating the sugars. The wine label also uses the grape berry as a symbol during the drying process, symbolizing its almost ritual importance. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature and lasts, in contact with the skins, for 40/60 days. The aging period of the wine includes a stay of 36 months in Slavonian oak barrels.
The Amarone Marne 180 by Fratelli Tedeschi is characterized by an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it expresses the freshness of the grapes that compose it, with hints of berries, cherries in jam, light notes of vanilla, chocolate, and nuances of mint. On the palate, the sip is enveloping. A soft, warm wine with a pleasant tannin. A special wine strongly linked to its territory. A perfect Magnum for a great lunch!
