Anisos' Eugenio Rosi 2021
Artisanal"Anisos" by Eugenio Rosi is a white wine from Trentino obtained through skin maceration of Nosiola, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc grapes, grown in Vallagarina. It ages for 12 months in oak tonneaux and presents itself with a golden hue, expressing tropical aromas of pineapple and mirabelle plums, framed by pastry details such as butter and vanilla, honey and dried flowers, while on the palate it is full and structured, nicely fresh, savory and persistent.
“Anisos” by Eugenio Rosi is a white wine seductive and expressive, capable of combining sumptuousness with an original profile. Those who know the wines of Eugenio Rosi know that his creations are never banal or predictable, and the proof lies in this delightful white, capable of overturning trivial stereotypes about the grape varieties that compose it, namely Nosiola and in particular Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco. Standardization? Flattening? Nothing could be further from the reality of the facts, thanks also to the meticulous work of Eugenio, who tends a few hectares of vineyard in Vallagarina, south of Trento, preserving the vitality of the land and plants. A few simple gestures allow for the production of liquids that are true to their territory and vintage, with multifaceted and refined expressiveness. An absolute guarantee for lovers of artisanal wines.
The white wine “Anisos” is made from a blend primarily of Nosiola and in smaller part of Pinot Bianco and Chardonnay. In the vineyard, no chemical substances are used, relying only on a bit of copper and sulfur. In the cellar, the same philosophy is continued, with alcoholic fermentations that occur spontaneously and in the case of Anisos, skin maceration for 10-12 days, without any filtration or clarification. The aging of the liquid takes place for 12 months in oak tonneaux.
The wine “Anisos” already enchants with its golden yellow appearance. Nose rich and intriguing, with hints of exotic fruit, pastry cream, butter, and honey. Sweetness, therefore, that never becomes cloying as the profile of the liquid is in constant evolution. The sip is filling and has a creamy texture, constantly enlivened by a right balance of sapidity and freshness. A splendid and versatile white, with various possible interpretations.
