"Bandita" by Cascina Tavijn is a rock and grunge red wine made by Nadia Verrua. Precisely for this style upstream, the denomination was repeatedly rejected. It comes from old vines and ages in used barrels for at least a year, presenting itself to the nose intense, fruity and earthy, giving a taste of great energy, freshness and scratchy power

The “Bandita” from Cascina Tavijn is a cheerful and original label with a light and fresh style, produced by Nadia Verrua, a young winemaker from the hills of Monferrato, who is a deep connoisseur of the most widespread indigenous grape variety in Piemonte, interpreted here in full respect of its nature and characteristics. Its name comes from the protest against the complicated bureaucracy of the world of denominations and labeling; a rebellious, unconventional wine that surprises with its freshness and exceptional drinkability.

The red grapes used to produce this red from Cascina Tajavin, which in Piedmontese dialect means farmer's house, are cultivated according to the principles of organic farming. The winemaking is carried out artisanally with a spontaneous fermentation by indigenous yeasts and a subsequent maceration of about two months in contact with the skins, interspersed with brief and frequent pump-overs. After aging, the wine is not filtered and is not bottled.

Cascina Tajavin “Bandita” is an unpublished and unfiltered version: to the eye, it presents a lively ruby red color that translates on the nose into fresh and crunchy fruit. Notes of cherry, red fruits, and blueberries, with light hints of licorice and mint, blend perfectly in the mouth with a soft tannin and an important structure, wrapped in aromas of wood and wildflowers. A fun bottle that reigns at convivial tables alongside typical Piedmontese dishes (great with meat tartare, vitello tonnato, and stuffed vegetables) and tells the traditions and beauty of a unique territory, a landscape now a UNESCO World Heritage site.
