Cannonau 'Ghirada Gurguruò' VikeVike 2023

VikeVike’s ‘Ghirada Gurguruò’ Cannonau is an intense, terroir-driven Sardinian red. It is made from grapes grown in the single ‘Gurgurò’ vineyard, which is around 30 years old and trained using the alberello method in the southern part of Mamoiada. Spontaneous fermentation in truncated-conical wooden barrels and extended ageing in French oak barrels give the wine a precise, clean style. On the nose, notes of ripe fruit emerge, along with hints of sweet spices and balsamic undertones. On the palate, it is full-bodied and enveloping, with a dense yet elegant tannic structure, good freshness and a very persistent finish. It pairs naturally with roast suckling pig
