The Barbaresco "Bordini" by La Spinetta winery is born from the homonymous vineyard of Neive and is aged for 22 months in new and semi-new barriques. It is a modern and very elegant interpretation of the Langhe, with a wide and delicate aromatic profile of red flowers, spices, humus and goudron cherries. On the palate is fresh, smooth, impeccable and very long

The Barbaresco Bordini is a liquid testament to the great class of Nebbiolo in one of its chosen areas, and stands out for being deep and three-dimensional. About 100 hectares of vineyards, where local indigenous grape varieties such as Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Moscato dominate, interpreted in a modern way. The intention of the Rivetti family is to blend the characteristics of the great local grape varieties with a modern style, thanks to very low yields, more advanced maturation that naturally concentrates the fruit, and the use of barrique that softens the youthful edges of Nebbiolo and Barbera, as well as enriching its profile. In the vineyard, however, the use of chemicals is kept to a minimum, as are the interventions in the winery, where the liquids are neither filtered nor clarified.

The "Bordini" comes from pure Nebbiolo grapes grown in the municipality of Neive, a famous enclave of Barbaresco. The vines, located at 270 meters above sea level, have an average age between 27 and 30 years and rest on calcareous soil. In the vineyard, no use is made of pesticides nor herbicides, to give life to healthy and expressive fruits. The harvest takes place between early and mid-October, and after careful selection of the bunches, alcoholic fermentation begins, lasting 7-8 days and taking place in temperature-controlled rotofermenters. After the malolactic fermentation in small wood, the liquid ages for about 20 months in French oak barriques, and is then transferred to steel tanks to rest for 3 months before bottling. Unfiltered and unclarified wine, so as not to diminish the richness of its taste-olfactory heritage.

The wine "Bordini" just poured into the glass shows itself in a lively ruby hue. Already from the first sniff, it reveals all its complexity, with hints that initially recall ripe plums, dog rose, and a riot of spices, from cinnamon to clove. Great richness therefore, which is however enlivened by a mentholated and balsamic side that emerges over time. The intoxicating nose corresponds to a powerful and weighty sip, where the structure finds however a velvety and perfectly harmonious progression, enlivened by a beautifully crafted salty contribution. Very long, it fades into exotic memories of ginger and karkadè. A champion in its category.
