Exclusive wineryThe Barbaresco "Sanadaive" by Adriano Marco and Vittorio takes its name from the dialectal form used to refer to the renowned production area of San Rocco Seno d'Elvio. Aged in Slavonian oak barrels for two years, it is characterized by a woodland, herbaceous, and balsamic profile, with spicy, vegetal, and jam echoes. On the palate, it is warm, powerful, with well-integrated tannins and a long, satisfying finish.
The Barbaresco "Sanadaive", a Piedmontese dialect form for Seno d’Elvio, is undoubtedly the most representative label of the Adriano estate, a true image of the land where the winery is located. San Rocco Seno d’Elvio is the smallest and southernmost area of the entire Barbaresco production zone, the least renowned and also the least known. It is a subzone of great prestige, characterized by less compact soils where gray marls alternate with layers of sand, and where the grapes ripen caressed by the breezes coming from the Tinella river.
The "Sanadaive" Barbaresco by Adriano Marco and Vittorio is made with Nebbiolo grapes from the eponymous vineyard, located not far from the winery, at an altitude of 300 meters above sea level with a south-western exposure. This picturesque vineyard is bordered by the infamous hazelnut groves owned by the estate, where the round gentle variety grows in a truly enviable habitat, and by the woods, maintained by the Adriano family who has always taken care of enhancing the environment and the environmental biodiversity. The grapes can only benefit from this and give rise in the winery, after almost two years of aging in steel tanks and Slavonian oak barrels, to a precious and powerful juice, which on the nose repeatedly recalls the woodland vegetation from which it originated.
The Barbaresco "Sanadaive" signed by Adriano Marco and Vittorio is a convincing, personal, and full of character expression of this famous Piedmont red. The color is garnet red, with shades that will tend towards orange over time. On the nose, it represents a hilly landscape, green and well-ventilated, which smells of woods, aromatic herbs, and fresh flowers, with balsamic, vegetal echoes, of small black fruits in jam and spices. On the palate, it is warm and full, enveloping the mouth with a soft and well-blended tannin in a sip of satisfying and very fine persistence.
