The Barbera d'Alba from the young wine estate Gabriele Cordero is characterized as a bottle with a satisfying and agile drinkability. The estate is managed by brothers Gabriele and Serena Cordero, who cultivate 8 hectares of vineyards in Lower Piemonte dedicated to traditional varieties Nebbiolo, Arneis, and, of course, Barbera. Gabriele takes care of the vineyards, which thrive with biodiversity thanks to the presence of bees, butterflies, and other insects, while Serena is responsible for the winemaking process, carried out with artisanal respect for the raw material. Additionally, Serena consults for numerous wineries in the municipality of Alba, as well as for estates scattered across Toscana, Calabria, and even Moldova.
Gabriele and Serena Cordero Barbera d'Alba consists of only Barbera grapes grown within the municipality of Priocca, where the soils are clayey and sandy and the exposure is full east.
