Bardolino Zenato 2024
The Bardolino by Zenato is a fresh, light, and delicate red wine, characterized by elegant hints of red fruit, flowers, and cherries. On the palate, it is dry and clean, with good freshness and sapidity, and a harmonious and well-balanced finish.
The Bardolino from the Zenato winery is a light, fresh, and fruity wine that perfectly expresses the great tradition of the reds from the Veronese shore of Lake Garda. The mild climate and the suitable soils have been an ideal home for centuries for the most widespread red grapes in the area: Corvina and Rondinella, to which a small percentage of Merlot is added, giving the wine a touch of fruity softness and making it more harmonious. The vinification and aging exclusively in steel allow for the appreciation of the primary scents and aromas of the grapes, which provide a pleasant fruity fragrance, a lively, easy, and carefree sip.
The red Bardolino is one of the labels produced by one of the most representative wineries in the territory west of Verona. Zenato produces wines in the area that extends from Lake Garda towards the heart of Valpolicella, always signing quality bottles. The winery has always worked in the wake of the best tradition of the territory, seeking to enhance the indigenous grape varieties of the area. It produces wines with a straightforward profile, capable of tell the characteristics of the area in an authentic way. The Rosso di Bardolino fits perfectly into this perspective and aims to be the modern version of the oldest popular wine of the territory, which was brought to the table every day, also thanks to its extraordinary versatility and pairing ability.
The Bardolino wine from Zenato is produced with grapes from vineyards cultivated on the first hilly ridges overlooking Lake Garda. The Veronese shore is characterized by soils mainly composed of sands, gravels, and silt of ancient morainic origin. Thanks to the sunny exposures and the mild breezes from the lake, the clusters always ripen perfectly. The grapes are fermented in steel tanks with a maceration on the skins of about ten days. Before bottling, the wine rests for a few months in steel tanks. The result is a young and fragrant wine, which presents itself with a light ruby red color. On the nose, it releases delicate notes floral and subtle aromas of red berries, cherry, currant and wild strawberries. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with a nimble, slender, and young sip, with very fine tannins. A beautiful and fresh portrait of the Lake!
