The Barolo Riserva from the Batasiolo winery is a Piedmont red wine, aged for at least 18 months in Slavonian oak barrels before undergoing another resting period in steel. With intense aromas of jammy fruit, dried fruit, sweet spices, and tobacco, on the palate it is soft, enveloping, with balanced tannins and elegant complexity. To be served at family dinners, paired with braised dishes and game

The Barolo Riserva from Batasiolo is a prestigious reserve derived from a blend of various vineyards in the Barolo area, distinguished by maturity and breadth. With over 150 hectares of vineyards in production, spread across some of the most important wine territories of Lower Piemonte, the Batasiolo wine estate manages to combine large volumes with high quality. Thanks to an effective entrepreneurial vision, the wines of the Dogliani family, owners of the winery, are exported to every corner of the world, becoming ambassadors of their respective denominations.

Batasiolo Barolo Riserva is made from pure Nebbiolo grapes grown in different subzones of the Barolo territory, characterized by heterogeneous pedoclimatic attributes. The grapes are hand-harvested usually in the first half of October and are then transferred to the winery for red winemaking with alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The fermentation process is associated with at least 10-12 days of skin maceration, with the mass then placed to age in large Slavonian oak barrels for a minimum of 18 months. This is followed by a long resting period between steel and bottle before the final market release, which occurs well beyond the minimum timing set by the Barolo Riserva regulations.

Visually, the Barolo Riserva from the family-run estate Batasiolo reveals an intense garnet red color with delicate orange reflections. On the nose, intense and complex aromas of ripe black fruit, underbrush, spices, and dried fruit follow, along with intriguing floral and toasted hints. The palate is soft, full, and complex, with a velvety tannic structure that gives a balanced dimension to the tasting finish.
