The Riserva Brunate is a high-end Barolo, produced by one of the most interesting wineries in the La Morra area. Mario Marengo produces wines in the wake of the best tradition of the territory, trying to bring to the glass the genuine and authentic flavors of the magnificent land of the Langhe. He manages about 7 hectares of vineyard in La Morra, with high-quality parcels in the famous cru of Brunate, a paradise sought after by all Barolo enthusiasts. Thanks to excellent exposure and very suitable soils, made up of a right blend of marls,calcareo-argillose and sandy, Marengo manages to produce excellent grapes. The great care in the winemaking practices and the choice of woods that are never too intrusive during aging allow for the preservation of that refined finesse which is the stylistic hallmark of Barolo di Brunate.
The red Barolo Riserva Brunate from the Piedmontese winery of Mario Marengo is a label crafted with artisan care by one of the most important vignerons in the La Morra area. The grapes of extraordinary quality come from the vineyards of the Geographical Indication Brunate. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with classic maceration on the skins. Before bottling, it matures for 48 months in French oak barriques. The wine presents a garnet red color with slight orange reflections. The bouquet recalls aromas of small red berry fruits, delicate spicy hints, notes of licorice root, and dried fruit. On the palate, it is intense and long, with a harmonious sip and a fine tannic texture. The finish is pleasantly fresh and very persistent.
