Bianco di Morgante 2025
The Bianco di Morgante is a unique white wine obtained from red grapes vinified in white. It presents in the glass with a pale straw yellow color and releases limestone aromas, accompanied by light white flowers and a citrus touch. The sip is fresh and savory with an aromatic finish reminiscent of fresh almond.
The Bianco di Morgante is a white wine from a red grape. It offers a very rare white vinification interpretation, in which the versatility of the grape variety is appreciated, capable of giving varietal notes enriched by a typically territorial touch, that is the sapidity derived from the calcareous matrix of the soil where it grows. A bottle that is born thanks to the magical touch of Riccardo Coterella, an internationally renowned oenologist who assists the winery in the development of the products.
The Bianco di Morgante is made from red grapes, a variety cultivated by the winery within plots located about 400 meters above sea level. We are in a predominantly calcareous terroir, where the presence of clay is also found, a characteristic that gives the final product a clear territorial imprint. The bunches are carefully destemmed, and the selected berries are gently pressed. A static draining follows, and then the fermentation of the must begins in steel tanks, at low temperature.
The white wine signed by the Morgante winery presents itself to the eye with a light straw yellow color. The aromas that envelop the nose evoke hints of fresh fruit, enriched by white flowers and more mineral notes that recall the limestone present in the subsoil where the grapes grow. On the palate, it has a light and refreshing sip, from which a savory sapid vein emerges. A bottle that offers the "white" version of a red grape that is emblematic of the territory, in an approach that challenges the classicism of traditions.
