The Brunello di Montalcino "Cerretalto" is a great excellence of the Tuscan territory, a star among the great Italian red wines. The aromatic profile, of great elegance and complexity, is painted with intense notes of ripe red fruit, dried flowers, tobacco, and wood. The taste is extraordinary, vigorous and robust, well supported by a fine tannin and endowed with endless persistence.

The Brunello di Montalcino "Cerretalto" from the Casanova di Neri winery is a wine red of great thickness, complex and powerful produced in the eastern part of the territory of the municipality of Montalcino, in the province of Siena, in Tuscany. This label is obtained from rigorously selected pure Sangiovese grapes coming from a single vineyard, the cru Cerretalto, located on hills at an altitude of about 270-290 meters and facing east. The vines are trained on trellises using the spurred cordon method on soils characterized by rich galestro soils with alluvial stones, degraded rocks, and a strong presence of minerals including iron and magnesium. The winery, owner of about 500 hectares of which 63 are planted with vines, is a reality of great prestige that has managed over the years to build its reputation both nationally and internationally thanks to a production of the highest qualitative level and practices that respect the dictates of organic farming.

The "Cerretalto" Brunello di Montalcino is obtained from carefully selected and hand-harvested grapes generally around the first decade of October. The bunches, upon reaching the winery, are gently destemmed and crushed to carry out the alcoholic fermentation, using exclusively indigenous yeasts, in temperature-controlled conical wooden tanks with frequent pump-overs and a maceration on the skins that lasts about 32 days. This is followed by racking with pressing, after which the wine remains in aging for at least 36 months in French oak barrels before being bottled and left to mature in the bottle for another 24 months before being released for sale.

The Brunello di Montalcino "Cerretalto" by Casanova di Neri presents itself with a ruby red color with garnet hues. On the nose, intense aromas of ripe red fruit appear, including cherry and raspberry, floral notes of violet and dried flowers, spicy hints of tobacco, licorice, and anise, finishing with slight mineral hints, graphite, and notes of noble wood and dried fig. On the palate, it is vigorous, robust, rich, round, and flavorful, characterized by a beautiful minerality and a tannin of remarkable finesse. This Brunello from the Casanova di Neri winery is a red of unique character, made with artisanal methods and able to maintain its refinement and great intensity intact over the years.
