The Cahors Vieilles Vignes ‘Les Camille’ Clos Siguier is a Malbec whose grapes are harvested from the oldest vineyards of the winery. An authentic expression of the territory, it is vinified through spontaneous alcoholic fermentation and aged in barrel for a period ranging from 6 to 10 months. Delicate yet powerful, it develops on the silky and persistent palate with fruity and floral aromas.

The Clos Siguier Cahors Vieilles Vignes ‘Les Camille’ represents a French bottle capable of exceptionally combining depth and tasting grace. The grapes destined for this Cahors come from old vineyards located on the Causse plateau. Here, Domaine Le Clos Siguier produces labels of sublime territorial adherence, predominantly crafted with the Malbec grape, locally also known as Côt or Auxerrois. This variety is cultivated through sustainable agriculture and worked through a minimalist enological approach, based on reduced and non-invasive interventions. These are the foundations of the production philosophy of the Bley family, dedicated to viticulture in this area of the Sud Ouest wine region for centuries.

The Cahors Vieilles Vignes ‘Les Camille’ from the Le Clos Siguier winery is a 100% Malbec from vines approximately 80 years old. The plants, grown organically, are rooted in soils composed of red clay and limestone. After manual harvesting, the bunches are destemmed and crushed for spontaneous alcoholic fermentation, associated with 15-20 days of maceration on the skins. The subsequent aging phase takes place in 600-liter wooden barrels for a period ranging from 6 to 10 months, at the end of which the wine is bottled without undergoing any filtration.

The ‘Les Camille’ Clos Siguier Cahors Vieilles Vignes has a lively garnet red color. The aromatic spectrum is defined by fruity descriptors of blackberry and blueberry that join floral notes of violet and pleasant spicy aromas. On the palate, it is delicate and powerful at the same time, with excellent freshness and silky tannins that anticipate the lasting conclusion consistent with fruity sensations.
