Quenardel's Champagne Brut Cuvée Prestige Solera is an original bottle of haute cuisine. It is a refined and very fresh wine made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes that matures for an impressive 48 months on the lees. White peach, pear, biscuit and vanilla come to the fore on the palate, combining with hints of wood and dried fruit. A velvety and pleasant Champagne to enjoy on its own or paired with delicate and refined dishes such as classic oysters

The Champagne Brut ‘Cuvée Prestige Solera’ is one of the most important labels of the J.H Quenardel estate, a Champagne that makes expressive depth its salient feature. We are in Ludes, a small village located at the foot of the Montagne de Reims and classified as Premier Cru, whose name comes from the Latin term “lucida”, meaning “bright” or “glade”. The unofficial expression “Cuvée Prestige” usually indicates in the world of Champagne the most prestigious labels produced by a Maison, as in the case of this Metodo Solera.

The Brut Champagne J.H Quenardel ‘Cuvée Prestige Solera’ comes from a blend of noble grape varieties Chardonnay (60%) and Pinot Noir (40%), grown using environmentally friendly practices. Following the harvest, the grapes are vinified in white through soft pressing and alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. After a few months of rest, the sparkling base is prepared by adding a 24% of vin de reserve from Metodo Solera and this is subsequently bottled with the liqueur de tirage for the second fermentation in the bottle, according to the Metodo Champenoise. The aging on the lees in glass lasts for at least 48 months, at the end of which the degorgement and subsequent dosage Brut is carried out, with 6.5 g/l of residual sugars. In particular, a perpetual reserve of Chardonnay is used as the base for the liqueur d’expedition.

In the glass, the ‘Cuvée Prestige Solera’ Champagne Brut J.H Quenardel shows an amber color with golden reflections and an elegant and persistent perlage. The deep olfactory panorama is defined by hints of white-fleshed fruit and flowers that combine with more articulated sensations of yeast, biscuit, and various spices. On the palate, it is very fresh and refined, with excellent length and remarkable complexity, with returns of ripe fruit and pastry marking the finish.
