Champagne Brut 'Vintage' Magnum Pol Roger 2018 (confezione)
The "Vintage" is a Champagne vintage with an elegant and sensual personality that ages for 8 years on the lees. It presents aromas of almond, vanilla, and yellow fruit that spread from a soft and creamy structure, animated by a fine and persistent perlage
The Champagne Brut "Vintage" is simply the expression of elegance and refinement of the Pol Roger house. It is the result of the utmost selection and enhancement of a specific vintage, which is vinified as a vintage only under optimal conditions. The "Vintage" of Pol Roger carries, already in its name, the unlimited charm of a story spanning 160 years and 5 different generations. They have alternated, continuously bringing growth that has refined the house's touch, as if it were the brushstroke of an artist. Indeed, the Champagnes signed by Pol Roger are liquid works of art. A name, a guarantee, and a long and captivating history. The Brut "Vintage" embodies the attractive and seductive character of the French sparkling wine, which expresses itself through a language of excellence.
The "Vintage" Brut of Pol Roger is a Champagne composed, according to the traditional blend of the house, of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. These grapes come from 20 parcels, all classified as Grand Cru or Premier Cru, located in the area of the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs. Following a meticulous harvest, the grapes are gently pressed and the resulting must undergoes a cold decantation. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel containers, as does the malolactic fermentation. Only at the end of these two phases are the parcels vinified separately up to that point, assembled, and the base wine obtained is bottled to initiate the second fermentation. This takes place inside bottles placed 33 meters deep in the historic Pol Roger cellars. Manual remuage and a long wait of more than 8 years precede its market release.
Pol Roger Brut "Vintage" Champagne manifests its recognizable charm already through its golden color and fine, persistent perlage. Elegance and delicacy refine an intense complexity, which opens up to fresh citrus notes and sweeter ones of apricot and peach, only to reveal notes
