Characterized by a fine and persistent perlage and delicate notes of white flowers and citrus peel on the nose, its great refinement pairs well with fresh fish dishes or vegetarian appetizers that do not overshadow the freshness of the wine.
With its graceful and refined style, at the same time rich and complex, the Champagne Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru ‘L’Angelique’ by Mouzon Leroux is able to captivate the senses from the very first sip. The very name of the label highlights its angelic character: “pure, light, and ethereal”. The Mouzon Leroux estate has about 10 hectares of vineyards, of which 8 are located in the village of Verzy, from which the grapes for this bottle are sourced. All the efforts of the producer Sebastien Mouzon are directed towards imprinting the soul of the territory into the wines, while safeguarding the balances of nature.
‘L’Angelique’ Mouzon Leroux Champagne Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs is produced from only Chardonnay grapes cultivated according to the principles of organic and biodynamic farming within the Grand Cru village of Verzy, in the Montagne de Reims area. The grapes of the single vintage are vinified in oak barrels with spontaneous alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, excluding the use of invasive operations. After a few months of maturation on the fine lees, the liquid is placed in the bottle and added with liqueur de tirage for bottle refermentation according to the Champenoise Method. The aging on the lees in glass lasts for 54 months and the wine is finally subjected to disgorgement and topped up without dosage.
The Champagne Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru ‘L’Angelique’ Blanc de Blancs from the Mouzon Leroux winery has a pale straw yellow color with fine and persistent bubbles. The aromatic spectrum opens with perceptions of citrus and white flowers, soon reached by delicate mineral notes and hints of dried fruit. Soft and deep the tasting, at the same time fresh and delicate, with a creamy effervescence that contributes to the overall sensation of fullness.
