Champagne Rosé Brut 'Cuvée Louise' Pommery 2004 (confezione)
The 'Cuvée Louise' by Pommery is a Rosé Brut Champagne that pays tribute to Louise Pommery, a French Champagne producer from the 1800s. This sparkling wine, with its rose gold color, originates from the three Grand Cru vineyards of Ay, Avize, and Cramant, which are cornerstones of the entire Champagne region. On the nose, the characteristic notes of red fruits immediately emerge, combined with hints of Mediterranean spices and subtle notes of white flowers. On the palate, it is fresh, fine, and well-balanced, making it perfect to pair with steamed shellfish and duck breast accompanied by a berry sauce
The Champagne Brut Rosé ‘Cuvée Louise’ represents one of the flagship labels of Maison Pommery, capable of seducing with its rich and elegant structure. Compared to the classic ‘Cuvée Louise’ in white, the Rosé version was created for the very first time three vintages later, in 1982, always with the same philosophy: the best grapes from the best plots, vinified in full Pommery style. The attached rigid packaging makes this vintage Champagne Rosé even more special, dedicated to the historic Madame Pommery.
The ‘Cuvée Louis’ Rosé Pommery Champagne Brut originates from a selection of Chardonnay grapes (60%) and Pinot Noir (40%) from three Grand Cru villages: Aÿ in the Vallée de la Marne and Avize and Cramant in the Côte des Blancs. The bunches are vinified in white through a gentle pressing, with the heart of the must used for alcoholic fermentation, which takes place in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation is fully carried out and after a few months of maturation, the white base is combined with a percentage of red wine from Pinot Noir grapes from the village of Bouzy. The sparkling base thus obtained is then bottled with the addition of liqueur de tirage for refermentation according to the Champenoise Method, associated with at least 8 long years of aging on the lees in the bottle before the final disgorgement.
The Champagne Brut Rosé Pommery ‘Cuvée Louise’ has a golden pink color with orange reflections and a fine, rich, and persistent bubble. The wide aromatic range opens with hints of wild strawberries, raspberries, and black currants, soon joined by notes of Mediterranean spices and white flowers. Balanced, soft, and refined taste development, endowed with exceptional expressive richness and a fresh and taut epilogue.
