The Brut Royal Réserve is one of the Champagne symbol of the prestigious Philipponat maison, aged on the lees for 36 months. On the nose there are floral and toasted sensation, with notes of citrus and honey. The taste is harmonious, ample and structured, pleasantly fresh

The Champagne Magnum Brut Royale Réserve is the great classic of Maison Philipponnat, the sparkling wine capable of embodying perfectly the style and prestige. As the name “Royale Réserve” suggests, it serves as a tribute to the ancient traditions of the Philipponnat family, who were historically vineyard owners, merchants, and winemakers, among the main suppliers to Louis XIV and magistrates of the town of Ay. A Champagne once appreciated by the most prestigious courts of Europe.

The Champagne Brut Royale Réserve is born from the grapes of the best vineyards of Grand and Premier Cru in the beating heart of Champagne. This traditional blend is composed mostly of Pinot Noir (65%) to which Chardonnay (30%) and Pinot Meunier (5%) are added. The structure of this Champagne is determined by the addition in the cuvée of at least 20% of reserve wines, carefully stored in the chalk cellars and managed with the Solera method which involves aging in wooden barrels for several years. Once bottled, the wine undergoes refermentation in bottle according to the Champenoise Method and then rests on the lees for about three years. Only this long rest will allow this sparkling wine to release evolved and mature aromas on the nose, combined with a masterful and powerful structure on the palate.

The Champagne Royale Brut Réserve from the historic and prestigious Maison Philipponnat stands out for its impeccable balance between structure, persistence, and vinosity. It presents itself in a brilliant golden dress with amber reflections, made even more elegant by a fine and persistent mousse. On the nose, it emanates floral and slightly toasted notes, along with nuances of red fruits, citrus, and honey. The sip is delicately vinous, broad and structured, with fruity aromas and a long finish that unfolds light notes of biscuit and fragrant bread. A high-level champagne, which the long aging has made a masterpiece and that in the Magnum version will ensure a truly important longevity.
