The Chateauneuf du Pape Rouge by Guigal is an intense, structured, and very elegant red wine, aged for 36 months in large oak barrels. The aromatic profile, rich in ripe red fruit and cherry jam, is marked by an expressive spiciness. On the palate, it is full-bodied, round, long, and engaging.

The Chateauneuf du Pape Rouge by Guigal is a elegant, intense, and complex wine that originates from the beautiful territory in the south of the Rhône Valley, at the gates of the famous city of Avignon. As per ancient tradition, it is produced with a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and other historically cultivated red grape varieties in the region. The long aging in wood gives a wine of great gustatory harmony, balanced, enveloping, and very persistent.

The Chateauneuf du Pape Rouge wine is produced by a famous winery in the Rhône Valley. Guigal, in addition to owning vineyards in some prestigious parcels of Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, and Saint-Joseph, also cultivates vineyards in Chateauneuf du Pape. In this area of the lower Rhône, it produces one of the French wines richest in history and tradition. The vines have an average age of over 50 years and are cultivated on the famous plateaus of “galets roulés” of alluvial origin. Soils made up of a stretch of pebbles smoothed by the ancient course of the Rhône, which insist on a substrate of red clays and sands. A unique terroir in the world and of extraordinary scenic beauty. The fermentations take place separately for each individual grape variety, and after the creation of the blend, it matures for 36 months in large oak barrels.

The Chateauneuf du Pape Rouge by Guigal is a wine made following the oldest traditions of the territory, which involve a skillful blending of many complementary grape varieties and the use of large barrels. The wine has an intense and deep red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, it expresses aromas of blueberry, currant, blackberry, and hints of aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean scrub. The taste is complex and harmonious, warm and rich, with soft tannins, a persistent finish, and great gustatory balance.
