Chianti Rufina Riserva "Nipozzano" is the symbol of the Tuscan winemaking tradition for Frescobaldi. It is in fact a red that maintains a close bond with the typical style of the Chianti territory, telling its story through an elegant fruity bouquet and a body that is always satisfying in the mouth. An ideal label to give as a gift to fans, which, from vintage to vintage, always confirms itself on excellent quality standards.
Riserva "Nipozzano" is a Chianti Rufina that comes from an expert blend assembled by the Frescobaldi winery team, where, alongside a 90% of Sangiovese, we also find small percentages of Malvasia Nera, Colorino, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes of these varieties are grown within the Chianti Rufina district, in vineyards located at an elevation above sea level of between 250 and 500 meters, facing southeast; the terroir has an arid skeleton composed of stones, limestone and clay. Once the berries reach the winery's winemaking rooms, they macerate for 25 days with frequent batonnage, carrying out both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation. Finally, the production process is concluded with aging, in which the wine rests for 24 months in barriques and then, after bottling, for another 3 months directly in glass.
Chianti Rufina Riserva "Nipozzano" reveals itself to the eye with a very garish and bright purple color. The nose is enveloped by a pleasant fruity olfactory texture, from which emerge, on the finish, more woody and spicy sensations, deriving from the aging period spent in barrique. The palate is full-bodied, ample, round, with a sip in which the tannins are finely integrated into the overall structure, granting a soft and velvety drink. A Tuscan red with which the Frescobaldi winery confirms its excellent quality standards, telling us about a wine that belongs to one of the DOCGs that have made, and still continue to make, the fortune of "made in Italy" in the world.
