The Cirò Rosso "Segno" by Librandi is a typically Calabrian red wine that expresses all the tradition and richness of the lands of Cirò. After a brief stay in steel, it shows a subtle and winey aromatic profile, dominated by fruit, violet, and Mediterranean spices. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, despite the agility that gives it freshness, sapidity, and tannin.

The Cirò Rosso from the Librandi winery is a straightforward and tasty wine produced from vineyards located on hills alternating with flat areas, extending from the Ionian Sea inland in the municipalities of Cirò, Cirò Marina, Crucoli, and Melissa, in the province of Crotone, Calabria. This label is made from pure Gaglioppo grapes, a red berry variety with ancient origins, native to this land, which has become one of the flags of this winery that has believed in and invested to try to preserve and enhance the typical varieties of the region. The vines are cultivated using the alberello and spurred cordon systems on soils characterized by clayey-limestone soils. The winery, owner of about 260 hectares of vineyards, has been a family-run business for four generations and is today one of the most important Italian wineries and an absolute reference for those who love Calabrian wine.

The Librandi Cirò is produced with carefully selected grapes, usually harvested between the end of September and the beginning of October. The grapes are gently crushed and destemmed in the winery, then undergo alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel containers for a few weeks, with a brief maceration on the skins. The wine is then racked and aged for a few months in stainless steel tanks, after which the Cirò is bottled and remains to mature for another 2/3 months in the bottle before being marketed.

The Librandi Cirò appears to the eye with an intense ruby red color. On the nose, aromas of red berry fruits emerge, including cherry and raspberry, floral notes of violet and red flowers, shifting to hints of Mediterranean herbs and a touch of spices. On the palate, it is direct, winey, and full-bodied, endowed with good sapidity and pleasant freshness, and has a gritty and agile tannin. This red from the Librandi winery is a direct and immediate expression of typical Calabrian wine suitable for everyday consumption.
