Costa d'Amalfi Rosato Marisa Cuomo 2024
The Costa d'Amalfi Rosato by Marisa Cuomo is a very fresh wine that recalls, with its savoriness, the nature of the land from which it originates, also benefiting from the influence of the sea breeze in which it reflects
The Costa d'Amalfi Rosato by Marisa Cuomo is the offspring of the generous and sunny Campanian land. It is born from an equal blending of the two great red grape varieties of the region: Piedirosso and Aglianico. Two perfectly complementary grapes, the first fruity and harmonious, the second structured and deep. Their union gives rise to a rosato of great balance, expressing pleasant fruity notes combined with a good body. Far from the light, transparent, and diaphanous rosatos inspired by Provençal style, it proudly claims its territorial nature, fidelity to the character of the production area of the local indigenous varieties.
The Rosato Costa d'Amalfi is produced by one of the most famous wineries in Campania. The wines of Marisa Cuomo have been part of the elite of the best Italian labels for years. The grapes of Piedirosso and Aglianico come from parcels located in the stunning landscape of the Amalfi Coast, particularly in the areas of Cetara and in the locality of Raito in Vietri sul Mare. The vines are cultivated on steep terraces supported by dry stone walls, at an altitude ranging from 100 to 250 meters above sea level with a sunny exposure facing south. The Mediterranean climate, warm and ventilated, and the stony soils, composed of lands rich in limestone rocks, have always constituted an ideal habitat for the vine. The harvest takes place manually in the second half of October, and the grapes are gently pressed with a short contact with the skins. The free-run must is vinified in white with fermentation in steel at controlled temperature. Before bottling, it matures for a few months in steel, in order to preserve fragrant aromas and scents.
The Costa d'Amalfi Rosato wine by Marisa Cuomo is a label that faithfully reflects the face of the Campanian red grape varieties and their strong personality. It is a rosato rich in good body, particularly suitable for pairing with tomato-based first courses or fish stews and soups. In the glass, it presents a beautiful light salmon pink color with bright reflections. The olfactory profile is intense and elegant, with aromas of ripe cherry, red currant,
